A new season is upon us! Thanks for being here. If you're new, we're three online-obsessed nobodies documenting our respective journies into the digital "West." This newsletter serves not only to provide you with six thought-provoking bites of advice and inspiration but also to track accountability on the goals we've set for ourselves.
In 10 weeks' time, we'll have (hopefully) changed how we approach creating online video, and have taken you all with us. We've got a goal tracker at the bottom, so follow along!
So what are we waiting for! Let's get started.

This is the most creative person on the internet. From TikTok, to his beautifully crafted YouTube videos, 8illy is someone I look up to greatly when it comes to visuals and pacing. I love how he seamlessly is able to add drawings and graphics that don’t distract, rather add a whole nother dimension to his stories. I personally am inspired to learn the basics of drawing and using the green screen to create much cooler content.

Maybe I delivered the message of the story wrong, or maybe this person’s just as cynical as they sound. Either way, the message I was trying to get across in the video was that we all have opportunities throughout our day to make someone elses’ better. Although, was it this viewer’s fault for not engaging with the piece enough? Or my fault for not telling the story as accurately as possible? Though that wasn’t explicitly stated in my short, I think the best kind of content is the one that invites some interaction and reflection - my exact goal for this video, and I believe everyone’s duty as a creator.

Be yourself. Unequivocally. Then go post stuff you make on the internet, and reap the benefits. Surreal painter Andrew Cadima did so, displaying exceptional talent as well as a uniquely peculiar sense of humour. It’ll take you three seconds to realise Andrew isn’t your average TikTok artist - and his style is addicting, if not a little disturbing. You can’t stand out and fit in at the same time.

In college, I took a supply chain class and as boring as it sounds, it was actually quite fascinating. It’s a constant question of, “how do we go from raw materials to finished products in a faster and leaner way?” I’m starting to apply that more consciously to my creator-business, asking myself, “where is the bottleneck in my supply chain?” and how do I expand that? Right now, ideation is killing me the most.

Brother Tejas - your journey has been so inspiring to watch, and you do an excellent job of curating those moments through video. Thinking about it now, this comes from a place of pure selfishness, but I think you’re lacking in the consistency department (on more channels than IG). I get it, you’re on a plane every week, but you’re already proving to yourself that you CAN make a video per day. Now, I think this is a prime opportunity to begin examining (once again) how you can do that in the most mentally sustainable way possible on every platform - because I’m selfish, and I want to see more of you online, at all times :)

You’re in the final stretch of editing a video. It's approaching midnight, and you really should have it rendered and uploaded ASAP. But you have an early morning, and that soft pillow is calling your name….

Here's our tracker! The dotted lines refer to what week we're on. Each week that we complete the goals listed under our names, the dot gets filled in. Miss a week, and the dot is replaced with a bullet hole, and we have to donate a set amount depending on what offense it is. At the end of 10 weeks, we'll donate our money we've stockpiled to a lucky subscriber!
Thanks for being here. Can't wait to kick off another season of the ol' OW. Let's do this thing!
